Homeshare
TCE’s Home Share program offers adults with developmental disabilities the opportunity to live with a family, becoming an integral part of their daily life. More than just room and board, residents actively contribute to household tasks and enjoy holidays, celebrations, and even family vacations together.Annual Person-Centered Plan meetings help set and review goals, ensuring ongoing support and progress.
Home Share creates a flexible, caring environment that fosters family-like connections and celebrates personal milestones, offering each individual the chance to thrive in a stable, supportive setting.

Community Homes
At TCE, we provide personalized residential support for adults with developmental disabilities in Ottawa. Our services include 24-hour care residential homes, homeshare, and supported independent living, tailored to each individual’s unique needs. We offer specialized support for individuals with dual diagnoses, behavioral, physical, or medical needs.Our team of dedicated staff works to foster independence, personal growth, and community involvement in a safe and enriching environment. With homes located in Ottawa, our residents receive guidance in daily living activities, including cooking, cleaning, and participating in community events. Supported by a collaborative team, we create a person centered cae plan for each individual, ensuring they thrive in a home that adapts to their evolving needs.

Long term care & Outreach
TCE provides personalized support and advocacy for individuals with developmental disabilities living in long-term care homes across the Ottawa area. Our outreach services are tailored to meet each individual’s needs, helping them explore available supports and services both within their home and the broader community to enhance their quality of life.
Our dedicated team works closely with individuals, families, LTC staff, and other stakeholders to promote independence, dignity, and community inclusion. We ensure that individuals receive the support they need to pursue their goals, from coordinating daily activities like medical appointments and community outings, to offering training and guidance to LTC staff.
By fostering meaningful family involvement and clear communication, we strive to create an environment where individuals can thrive, while maintaining high-quality service and adhering to all policies and procedures.

At TCE, our Community Outreach is designed to meet the unique interests and goals of each individual, offering personalized, community-based experiences. Whether it's supported work, volunteering, or recreational activities, our programs empower participants to engage in meaningful experiences. For those who are retired or less physically active, we also provide a mix of community and home-based activities like music therapy, art, cooking, physiotherapy, and multi-sensory experiences.Our approach is deeply rooted in Person-Centered Planning, which places the individual at the heart of all decisions. By using tools like One Page Profiles, Perfect Week, and Communication Charts, we prioritize each person’s preferences and goals. This individualized support fosters a Journey to Belonging, emphasizing respect, inclusion, and connection.
The Journey to Belonging ensures individuals feel fully included, valued, and connected in their communities. It's about more than just support. It’s about helping individuals build relationships, contribute meaningfully, and experience personal growth, independence, and social engagement. We go beyond providing basic care by creating opportunities for each individual to actively participate in the community, form meaningful connections, and be celebrated for their unique abilities and contributions.
