Total Communication Environment (TCE)

Total Communication Environment (TCE) is a non-profit charitable organization providing residential, respite, day services and outreach to long term care homes for adults with multiple disabilities and special communication needs.  We provide support to over ninety (90) people in many different residential settings including group homes, apartments and townhouses, and outreach at a number of long term care homes in the Ottawa area.

TCE was established to provide a home to a small group of children with multiple disabilities and special communication needs.  It was incorporated as a non-profit organization in November 1979 and obtained charitable status in early 1980.

Since then, TCE has grown and evolved, and continues to do so, in direct response to the changing needs of that original group of children and others in our community who require our support.
